Buy quantity and sell quantity measure how many units of the asset (e.g. BTC) the automation traded—not the dollar value (volume covers dollars).
Simple example
Over a week:
- Buy quantity: 1.25 BTC
- Sell quantity: 1.10 BTC
Net inventory increased by ~0.15 BTC before mark-to-market.
Why it matters
Quantity shows position building vs. dollar churn. A bot can have high dollar volume but modest quantity change if it scalps frequently.
