The Price Ratio Gate is a pass/block filter on closeA ÷ closeB. When the ratio (or its rolling z-score) meets your compare vs threshold, the filter passes; otherwise it blocks. It never fires buy or sell on its own.
Use it when you only want other signals to trade while relative strength vs a reference market holds.
Prefer Price Ratio when the ratio condition itself should emit a side.
When to use it
- Only enter when the primary is strong vs a reference (high ratio)
- Block entries when the ratio collapses
- Confirm relative-value ideas without a second directional rule
What you’ll set in the app
Add Price ratio gate under filters.
- Symbol B — second market (required; Market A uses the strategy primary by default)
- Optional exchange/timeframe overrides for A and B
- Mode — Raw (A÷B) or Z-score of ratio
- Window (bars) — for z-score mode
- Compare — ratio >, <, ≥, ≤, or ≈
- Threshold — raw A÷B or a z level
Without Market B or enough history (z-score), the gate blocks. Disabled passes.
Tips
- Pair with RSI, MACD, or other signal rules for direction—this gate only says pass or block.
- Not the same as multi-leg Pairs Spread basis metric.
Example
Entry filters: Price ratio gate, Market B = EWZUSDT, mode Raw (A÷B), ratio > 0.15. A long RSI entry on USDBRLUSDT only passes while the ratio stays above 0.15.
